The Project to Support Integrated Rural Development in the Mountain Areas of the Oriental Region (PADERMO) is a strategic initiative financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture through the Regional Directorate of Agriculture for the Oriental Region (DRAO). It comes at a time when mountainous areas are increasingly vulnerable to climate change, water scarcity, soil erosion,
and socio-economic challenges affecting rural populations, particularly women and young people.
